I have been to the windows mobile marketplace and Iam wondering. Why is there so little games and apps? Iphone and android have huge amounts of downloads but not windows mobile. I like sites like this also there other sites for freeware but at least this site the games and apps are tested and work. Other websites are much larger and offer ROMs but their games are hit or miss when it comes to combatibility. Here are other site with freeware

Thank you for the list. I encourage people to upload games,apps,and share info on this site. Iam trying to make a website people can come and download quaility software for thier windows mobile. We dont need the marketplace , next year I have big plans for this website. Hopefully I find someone who can help me run the site and be a moderator.

I check out the marketplace and your right gamerx its not like the Iphone or google store. I would think it would be more professional and include more free apps. That goes 2X for WVGA support where is it.

I'm new to the WM/Smartphone convergence and was a "throwback" from the days of Windows 2002/2003SE when I got my first HP2215 and then upgrade to an Axim x51v that I kept for 6 years up to this past February when I got tired of carrying a [phone and my PDA so I switched to a HTC TP2(Sprint). First thing I did after upgrading the phone to WM6.5 was check out the marketplace. I was gravely disappointed to say the least. Since having my Axim, I really wasn't looking for alot of games and apps for the past 2-3 years. I got everything I needed/wanted back then and just never really looked for anything else. Now I'm back to square 1 again with this new OS that nearly everything I had before doesn't work.

I found a few professional programs that I every day that had updates but games like Age of Empires Gold will lock up my TP2 and force a hard reset. I hope that MS will get on the game and start working the marketplace to become a better resource for us in the same manner that Apple and Google have done for their OS's. With the advent of WM7 coming out and the fact it will be a complete rewrite, I am not holding out to see anything major come this way.

This website is much better in the game department than the windows mobile marketplace. Sure they have a wider selection , but as far as compatibility , they are sorely lacking. Also I download the pong game and it contains a shortcut to go to back to this website easy. The only game I brought from the marketplace was spiderman. The apps that they have I can find better ones free. The only good apps is spb shell but at $30 dollars thats way too much.
